In 1974 I started sewing at the age of 13
In 1977 I bought my first Vintage Sewing Machine
It was a late 1800's Treadle made by Davis Co, sold by Sears under the name Burdick
Yes, at 16 fully hooked on sewing for a lifetime
Sold by Sears
For $15.50 you could have the Burdick Machine in your home for 90-Day trial (Plus any freight charges)
Anytime in that 90-Days, you could decide you did not want and would get your $15.50 refunded
Pretty Exciting Stuff in the late 1800's
Sewing is a great way to express your ability to CREATE
There are no limits, you can CREATE whatever you want
In this Picture I am making button holes on a Childs dress with the Original Singer Button Hole attachment
The attachment uses metal templates to create many different shapes, styles and sizes of button holes
The FUN is turning back the Clock and Restoring to their Glory
Anything can be fixed (Or Replaced LOL)
If you love the work, this is amazing FUN!
The only limit is Imagination
In my Happy Place :-)
Get the Vintage Family Sewing Machine out of the closet and have some real fun
(We Prefer "Vintage" here at the Loon Shop as opposed to "Old")
Whether exploring the world of quilting or sewing for yourself, or creating heirloom garments for your children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces... you have the ability and the tool right there!
Why not have some fun?
